Ravello Festival is preparing to offer the public the best of the world scene: great international orchestras, historical names and authors of jazz research, ballet flagship companies, contemporary choreographers.

This year in Ravello, in this beautiful place on the Amalfi Coast, there will be the opening of the Festival dedicated to Richard Wagner with two special events: concert on June 30th, directed by Esa-Pekka Salonen with the Philharmonia Orchestra and the one on August 25th 2018 with Donald Runnicles and the Deutsche Oper Berlin complexes.

The Feast of St. Andrew

Amalfi celebrated on 27 June every year the feast of St. Andrew, patron saint and protector of fishermen and fishmongers.
In remember of the miraculous storm of 1544, triggered by the saint, according to legend, that prevented him from conquer the city to the Saracen pirate Kair-Ad-Din.

The festival begins with a procession of members of various religious congregations that lead to the beach the statue of the saint, affectionately called “o’ viecchio “(the old).
Here the fishermen take over and lead the ride to the Duomo rising impetuously the grand staircase.

In the evening, the festival ends with spectacular fireworks on the sea of the Amalfi Coast.

The Municipality of  Ravello has officially announced the date of the new edition of the most anticipated food and wine event in Amalfi Coast and not just: Goblets of Stars. With the National Association City of Wine and the Wine Tourism Movement, on 12th August 2017 will take part this long awaited event in the city of music and wine. A sensory journey through wine, stars, music and food, where tourists and wine lovers will rediscover the landscape and historic beauty of the city of Ravello. A walk of emotion that runs through the noble way of the big hotels in Ravello, Via San Giovanni del Toro, to get to the homonymous Piazzatta and then continue in the picturesque and panoramic Via Santa Margherita until you reach Piazza Fontana Moresca.
In relation to the last season’s success, this year the Municipality of Ravello has decided
to extend the invitation also to operators in the catering sector and to operators of typical local products.They will have a personal position with a tasty buffet.
